Very good episode of Sky At Night: Exploring Jupiter. Ganymede, one of the moons, is the largest moon in the solar system, even larger than Mercury and is thought to have a liquid water ocean below the icy crust. ESA are sending a JUICE probe there, that will eventually go into orbit around it.

Also, found this easy-to-read article about matter. However, there is a theory that matter repels anti-matter.

Bananas!šŸ˜‚

ā€œThe force of this matter-antimatter repulsion could explain why the Universe is expanding at an accelerating rate, eliminating the need for dark energy and possibly dark matter.ā€

Gammerz The thing with a lot of physics is there are issues with mathematical symmetry in the equations - for example that x squared and (minus x) squared both equal the same thing. So a lot of physics equations work in two directions and physicists kind of have to look at the universe and decide which way it goes. And they donā€™t always get it right first time.

So perfect clear skies as it was getting dark and I decide to get the scope outside on its go-to mount and also setup the equatorial mount for the camera to do wide shots for the meteor shower. While itā€™s still getting dark enough I spot Jupiter not too far above the horizon and set the scope to it. Fantastic view although small and I could see all the moons.
Not far along from Jupiter was Saturn, so target that on the software and the scope lines up and there it is, rings and all in my eye-piece, first time Iā€™ve seen it properly like that!!!
Start setting up the camera for some meteors and 10 minutes later it gets windy, cloud completely covers the sky and it starts to rain šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬
One wee bonus though as I was setting up the scope I was sure I could hear someone walking up my drive but couldnā€™t see anything, turn my red headlamp on and about 5 feet from me is a Badger!! he soon scarpered off, must have been looking for the blue light district

This should happen (wether and safety checks allowing obviously) tonight.

As much as I love the BE-3 engine you have to wonder about how Mr Bezos is feeling. šŸ˜€

With GPS guided weapons needing satellites plus the intel they can supply, achieving ā€œspace supremacyā€ will move the battlefield into space. Itā€™s a just matter of time.

Brave canā€™t properly credit the origin of this but ā€¦

why are space wars always depicted with laser weapons, when in reality a single stone thrown at high speed can damage a lot of things? not just a single stoneā€¦.
    once upon a timeā€¦
a small scout ship was being pursued by a larger attacker. the scout electronics were better, and the ecm prevented the corvette from hitting it with lasers or missile fire. on the other hand, the scout didnā€™t have a beam weapon got enough to do more that scorch the paint of the warship
in desperation, the scout pilot dismounted the furniture from his salon, and everything else that wasnā€™t bolted down and was not critical to the operation of his ship. all this debris was loaded into the cargo airlock.
he carefully computed his orbit around the world heā€™d been exploring, the path of the corvette, likely course changes, etcā€¦and at the right instant jettisoned the bric a brac.
two orbital passes later, the cloud of debris blindsided the corvette at 6 km/sā€¦.
the couch from the salon, a nice comfy thing that could recline into a bed, tore through the engineering section of the hunterā€¦..
upon returning to base, during debriefing, there was skepticism that a sleeper couch could kill a warship
the scout rewrote his report, indicating that heā€™d destroyed the enemy withā€¦a futon torpedo.

    Sorry šŸ¤
