I’ve just got to the first non-optional boss after a lot of wandering around and doing ‘stuff’ yesterday. Definitely the first significant challenge.

I’d say a little hint at what you are discussing and then spoiler tags, but some more general stuff is nice to just freely discuss. Like mechanics of how stuff works, helpful locations to not miss etc.

Been such a great day on this. Even this evening I was sat for an hour watching Rachel start to get into the swing of it and start to realise the magnitude of the game.

Then we had a great laugh as I accidentally bumbled my way into a truly huge underground dungeon that could be easily missed from the surface. Giggling at the messages and howling with laughter after I got “golfed” by the first horse dude in gold armour.

Also I met potbro

Just did Margit after a couple of hours away doing other bits and bobs and ploughing runes into my intelligence stat and my weapons at the blacksmith. Lots to see once you get past him. 😉

Brave I just managed it too. Finally getting the ability to summon some wolf friends helped a lot.

That whole “pickle” incident last night was mad. Took me over an hour to get back to familiar territory.

Apparently there’s an ash of war called “no skill”. If you put that on your shield/off-hand, you’ll then be able to use the L2 skill on your main hand weapon without two-handing it.

Yeah, it was Margit that I got to last night but after a good few tries I concluded that I was best off going off and exploring the areas that I had’t looked at yet. Just felt like I needed a bit of dps bump as we were always failing at the same point.

Didn’t know there was cross play, that’ll be good for some co-oping as I can just use the PS4 for comms.

DrDamn I did, and it was all fine. Then the TV arrived and child 2 started on a 10 minute inquisition. What’s that daddy? Is it a TV? But we’ve got a TV. Do we need a new TV? Is the old TV broken? Did you want a new TV? Why did you want a new TV? Is it better than the old TV? What will happen to the old TV? Was it very expensive? Did you spend all our pennies? Can I jump on the box? Why can’t I jump on the box? Are there monkeys in the box?

There’s a couple of shields to be had in the castle that have the No Skill ability. \o/

I’m finding that I dunno what to do/where to go. Too open and no guidance and I’m lost🤣, find some cool spots but turning back because ah that might be a tough boss etc. I’m only getting short stints though, hopefully get more time soon.

Jogort the direction markers on the Graces you’ve found tell you where you should be going, though not necessarily that you are strong enough. 😁

Jogort you’ll be fine. Follow the guide lines until you hit a proper dark souls wall. Believe me, you’ll know when you hit it 😄

I tend to cycle back to areas I’ve been to previously whenever I hit a wall. I always find something new or beat something I couldn’t before 🙂
