Think I’ve found my new addiction in Snow Runner. It’s nothing super fancy, you just drive around in mud/snow/water etc in big ol rigs and pickups doing various tasks which are all just go here get such and such to take it somewhere else. Sometimes this will be a bridge repair to open up an easier route but you can pretty much take these beasts anywhere (with the right tyre/suspension/etc upgrades).
I’ve spent the whole day just bimbling about in the mud, occasionally making some money to get much needed mud tyres and other bits n bobs. There’s nothing quite like sitting encouraging the old truck to get up that hill.
There’s a heap of different vehicles, 3 big regional maps (Michigan/Alaska/Russia) and they all have 4 smaller maps (which are still a fair size) to bumble along in. Sometimes it looks stunning, I can’t really say why but I just enjoy sitting in the cab and bouncing about the mountain roads. Dash view can be brilliant at times, coming up a steep hill then over a crest and you can’t see past the front of the truck to see where the track is going, are you safe or about to trundle over a cliff face?!!
