CES 2021

Brave

I follow CES every year as I’m a proper tech nerd. It’s generally full of really interesting tech developments coming in the next year or three, occasional gaming tech, and ridiculous prototypes.

This year, understandably, after basically getting cancelled last year it’s gone completely digital.

So far, this has caught my eye and falls into all three of the above categories.

I think I posted something similar a year or two ago about a Alienware gaming handheld pc prototype that looked amazing. This one looks really ugly imo, but it’s interesting that it hasn’t stopped with Alienware. The promise of Steam and all the rest on a switch style PC is still really attractive imo.

LOL @ Pragmata. Like that date is even actually worth specifying.

R&C : Rift Apart and Kena : Bridge of Spirits are on my ‘almost certainly buy’ list and I am curious about Returnal and Stray (the former because I don’t have the reactions for pure bullet hell games any more so I’ll wait for the reviews and the later because we have no idea what the actual game is like but the concept is intriguing).

Everything else is currently ‘beyond the horizon’ as far as I’m concerned.

No mention of GT? (no surprised!)

Hitman 3 - will wait for a 3+2+1 bundle down the line. Got too much to play. If you have 2 or 1 then they will be enhanced and included with 3 apparently.

Returnal - want to play, but not at full price. Happy to wait for a sale.

Kena - definitely want to play this one, looks great. Hopefully it stays clear of Ratchet.

Solar Ash - wasn’t really aware of this one but looks interesting.

Little Devil Inside - still no real idea of how it plays but the preview video totally sold it to me. 🙂

Ghostwire: Tokyo (a MS PS5 console launch exclusive!) and Stray both look interesting.

Ratchet - as long as I’ve finished the current one, not allowed to buy if I haven’t finished the other one first 😃

Horizon - totally in

Project Athia - Think we’ll have more delays, but looks interesting.

Pragmata - not surprised at that release date.

Hmmm - might have been quicker to list the ones I’m not planning on getting …
