Alex Iāve got the ART, Iām super happy with it. But itās pretty damn heavy (26kg without seat and wheel) and sturdy. Iām not sure Iād want to move it away on a regular basis. That said you can get locking caster wheels for it, which might be the ideal situation. Like I say, I love my ART. it has a decent amount of scope for adding stuff in, like handbrake mounts and shifters too. And itās just been rock solid. Iām not exactly small and it handles my weight just fine. Just be careful to get the right size seat.
My previous one was the F-Gt lite . And actually that was a good mid-point between something bolted together like the ART and the playseat challenge. My problem with it was the hub system it uses to get the perfect position. I had it ok at one point, made one change and then could never get it right again. However the problem there was that my space was so narrow that I couldnāt comfortably get round the other side to undo the hubs. It also allows you to switch from a low slung open wheeler position to a more standard gt one.
This is the F-Gt that I donāt use anymore

You can see just how many hubs have to be undone. They all affect each other in terms of positioning too. Itās great for setting up the perfect position. But if you want to change it then hell awaits. š
In hindsight, if Iād just gone for the gt one, I might still be using it.

You can see that just has two hubs where you plonk your behind. That would be dead easy to set up, and easily light enough to slide to the side. There is one drawback though. People with your type of brake setup complain that under heavy pressure the pedal base can tip up slightly, which could be disconcerting. Iirc I had a weight over that bit to prevent it happening.
The next level Challenger also looks like it might fit your needs. Iām not a fan of the central column design for holding the wheel though.
Edit: just to add, the gt and f-gt lites are substantially more solid than Playseat challenge. You canāt tell until you see the two together, but those seats are waaaaay bigger than the play seat. So the steel tubing is like twice the gauge. I think @Jogort had the same f-gt as me too, so maybe he can chime in.
Edit again: the only comparison image Iāve ever seen is the thumbnail for this video
