DrDamn honestly I think itās a non issue and I genuinely hope they actually leave it as is.
Itās a pretty pure roguelike (I know technically itās a lite, but It doesnāt feel lite to me) in many ways, and I feel like saving mid-run would spoil the sense of urgency. Not to mention most runs wonāt last longer than 12 to 30 minutes. I think youāll probably find that completing a single run to a checkpoint will fit just fine in a shortish time span. Itās repeating that until you complete it that will take the time, as opposed to any single run.
If you had to stop after 10 minutes I guess rest mode has you sorted. But even if you quit, the next layout will likely have something youāre going to want anyway.
And anything important will be there from run to run so you wonāt miss out.
