First race of the season done, jumped into a Audi RS3 at Long Beach. It was bold as I’d not done many laps there, it’s a pretty micky-mouse sort of track, a bit weird. Anyway, similar to your pole I somehow managed to get it into third on the grid, I went a full two seconds faster than I had in my practice session.
The race was very eventful, I fell back to fourth at the start and then had a massive cat and mouse fight with the guy ahead for the whole race, eventually passing him when he made a small mistake. Ended up finishing in second place with zero incident points! 🐣

Overall a very good first race for the RS3, and even though I thought it’d be carnage at this track it was actually quite clean, although a few people came a cropper and at one point the track was almost blocked with three crashed back markers.
The last corner is crazy tight, very hard to position your hands correctly for how much you need to turn the wheel, felt like a bus driver at times. Started to enjoy the track as it went on, pretty fun but as I say a bit weird. Also the track limits make even less sense than normal. Also with this car it’s easy to spin up the front wheels so started to get a lot of wear/over-heating as it went on, which was very noticeable towards the end. My last lap was going to be fastest lap but then I realised I didn’t want to risk it so backed off massively into the last corner.
I planned to record this one with voice but somehow I messed it up and recorded twenty minutes of my desktop wallpaper instead. Got a video of the replay though. The only thing you’ll miss is me repeatedly going “how many laps is the effing race?”, totally missing the countdown timer on the HUD.
