Iāve been working my way through a Udemy course on Blender now and enjoying it a lot. Previous YouTube tutorials were good at introducing a lot of concepts but very focused on a specific result. The course spends more time explaining things and has frequent challenges and chances to try things independently rather than just follow a fairly tight path.
You can get great results and learn lots from the YouTube tutorials. So this is my end result from a nice course from CGBoost has the added bonus that the tutorās accent makes you feel you are being taught by Elmer Fudd. š

My initial fully built low poly examples from the Udemy course are below - no where near as complex as the above, and limited to what was taught by the course at this point - but all created from scratch by me without instruction on what and how to build them beyond a brief.
Low Poly Ferris Wheel - brief was about using duplication and just basic primitives:

Low Poly Carousel - brief was again just using basic primitives with a little modelling, but applying materials to individual parts of a primitive:

That last one was modelled based on an old fashioned tin toy my wife owns. Hoping to revisit it to attempt a more realistic recreation towards the end of the course.
