Well that was a bit of a shit show and completely my fault. Got lucky at the start with the crashes on Lap 1. I got hit from behind but only minimal damage. Doing well in 6th with 7th stuck to my bumper throughout but was able to soak up the pressure OK. Had a couple of good racing moments with the Fernandez guy in 7th actually, 3 wide going into T1 was the highlight and was picked up on the League’s stream.
Unfortunately after that I balls’d it up. Didn’t practice the pit entry beforehand, got it all wrong and received a 30 second stop go. Then on first lap on cold tyres I lost it at ascari, ended up stopped in the middle of the track and was hit at some speed. After that I was in too foul a mood to take the penalty and just ignored it until it DQ’d me 😂
Something I was curious about was what 7th place was doing. I felt he was faster and with a bit of clean air he’d probably jump me after the pit stops but he just followed me. I even tested him one lap, swerved towards the pits, he followed so I swerved back to the straight and he followed me back, so clearly didn’t want to pit unless I did, but I’m not really sure why… am I missing something obvious?
Next race is Imola but it’s another random and likely some version of intensity rain. I think I need to find another league 🙈😅
