Pricing the diskless version must be a bit of a headache for them, as removing the drive doesn’t actually save you much manufacturing costs at that scale. At the same time they want to funnel people into the diskless version because the digital marketplace is better for them. Therefore there’s a question of how much are they willing to lose on this machine vs how much they’ll make back from the digital sales. There’s definitely a sweet spot they will be trying to find.
At least the diskless version of the PS5 looks better.
