I ended up getting a DualSense Edge a couple of weeks ago (because of course I did, havenāt spent enough on games recently already.) I really love it. It feels great, nice and solid and well made. The back paddles are in the perfect spot for me and they feel great, unlike the ones on Steam Deck which I basically donāt use because theyāre uncomfortable for me to press.
One thing I really didnāt expect to bother with is the trigger stops, but theyāve turned out to be really handy. Setting up and changing profiles is very easy, and being able to remap buttons means you can āfixā broken button layouts.
One odd thing is the function buttons. Why are there two of them? They do exactly the same thing, itās weird. Itād be nice to have quick access to more than 3 profiles, but itās not too hard to switch to one of the others when needed. I havenāt really bothered with the stick dead-zone/response curve stuff. Itās very cool but I donāt think Iām really at a skill level where itās going to make a difference š
So basically I canāt ever go back to no back paddles again now. Curse you, Jim.
