Taking my TV chat in here. I’ve been thinking about buying a new TV for a while, as I’m still rocking my old Samsung Q70R 55″, which I bought back in 2019. That’s been a really great TV that has served me well, but feeling like it’s time to get something new.
I’m open to anything, but thinking of moving away from Samsung world, just for something a bit different. I’ve been looking at the Sony Bravia 8A, however now also considering an LG G5. The bravia is a bit cheaper than the LG, although both seem similar in terms of features. Swayed more towards the LG as it has better peak brightness so works better in light rooms. One complaint about my current TV is that it’s sometimes hard to pick out dark scenes when playing during the day, so if I can improve there it would be good.
Considered upgrading to a 65″ but a quick whip round with the tape measure suggests that the space that the TV goes is a bit too small to accommodate one. It might just fit but it would be a squeeze. Anyway, currently find 55″ perfectly good size-wise and am happy to save some money.
TV I’m currently hovering over is LG OLED55G56LS.
Anyone have any recommendations?
