I actually started again last week as a way to entertain Rachel who is still dealing with the aftermath of the Xmas flu (yay us). I’m going fairly traditional strength based sword and shield with a bit of faith. Basically a paladin. I almost never go sword and shield so it’s quite fun trying it out.
Not planning on ploughing through like I did the last few times, it’s more of a “between games” game now. What’s surprised me is how busy it still seems to be. My last playthrough it seemed like things were quieter, more difficult to summon help and definitely to be summoned. I found that rather than using the finger to lay down a specific summon sign, the branch thing that you wave in the air suddenly made more sense as it made me available to lots of people in various other arenas nearby.
This time though, I’m getting summoned to help fairly readily in obscure catacombs that I previously had no chance of helping anyone in if I’d just plonked a sign down there specifically.
They must have had a fairly large influx of new and returning players.
