Gordon Only listened a couple of times, but it definitely has all 3 Mogwai songs on it - the quiet one, the loud one, and the one that starts quiet, goes loud, and then goes quiet again.
Fumanstu Gordon Hahaha - I listened to it this morning and it’s as close to a Mogwai greatest hits album as it could be while still being all new songs. 😃 Which sounds reductive but actually, on first listen at least, its got the potential to be one of their best in a long time. Certainly there’s an energy and depth to the songs that’s been missing for while, demands a listen rather than being mostly ignorable.
Gordon Fumanstu Yep, that’s more or less what I thought. Looking forward to schools going back next week so I give it a proper listen in the home office 🙂
Gordon I came across this randomly yesterday. Low-key guitar and electronic noodling with lovely vocals. Great stuff.
Gordon Just came out. I’ve also got new speakers and subwoofer and the house to myself. This is a good day 🙂
Brave I can dream… It’s almost like I’m missing somewhere outside of the house to go and do work or something. I feel like that used to be a thing.
Jogort Gammerz I get the same if just clicking on it but if you choose open in Spotify it works. Only listened to 1 song, new birds. Not my cup of tea though, unless it’s just that 1 song never really liked people just talking to music.
Gordon Weird, dunno why it’s not working. But if you’re not into spoken word over music it’s probably not for you. He does sing sometimes but it’s mostly him rambling about sex, drinking, getting old, or a combination of all three.
Brave I’ve loved Arab Strap since the mid to late 90s when I was living in Derby. Whenever I was homesick, listening to Arab Strap was a major part of dealing with it 😉
Gordon Brave I lived in the states for a few years around the turn of the millenium and they served a similar purpose for me then 🙂
