Alex it’s a beautiful thing that album. Really glad you liked it 🙂

The song is still wonderful but the video is utterly preposterous.

Eurythmics are one of my fav groups of all time, esp Annie Lennox. Heard her first here:

There’s a song by Bob Geldof called ‘This is The World Calling’ which is unremarkable apart from the fact the backing singers on it are Annie Lennox, Alison Moyet and Maria McKee. Ruddy Hell.

Only listened a couple of times, but it definitely has all 3 Mogwai songs on it - the quiet one, the loud one, and the one that starts quiet, goes loud, and then goes quiet again.

Gordon Hahaha - I listened to it this morning and it’s as close to a Mogwai greatest hits album as it could be while still being all new songs. 😃 Which sounds reductive but actually, on first listen at least, its got the potential to be one of their best in a long time. Certainly there’s an energy and depth to the songs that’s been missing for while, demands a listen rather than being mostly ignorable.

Fumanstu Yep, that’s more or less what I thought. Looking forward to schools going back next week so I give it a proper listen in the home office 🙂

I came across this randomly yesterday. Low-key guitar and electronic noodling with lovely vocals. Great stuff.

Gammerz yeah I like the original but much prefer the Disturbed version.

Just came out. I’ve also got new speakers and subwoofer and the house to myself. This is a good day 🙂

        House…

        To… yourself?

        What is this fiendish nonsense?

Brave I know! It’s weird. Happened earlier in the week as well. I could get used to it.

          I can dream…

It’s almost like I’m missing somewhere outside of the house to go and do work or something.

I feel like that used to be a thing.

Aidan Moffat is a national treasure.
