I was quite surprised at the 30th ed pro price, thought I’d be more than £959, still a wack of cash but thought it’d be over £1k.

Just got a PS5 Pro regular pre-ordered. Were these sold out earlier or was it just the anniversary stuff?

DrDamn The anniversary stuff went very quick. The regular Pro lasted an hour or two this morning before they were all gone. They’ve been back in stock again a couple of times through the day though, they seem to be deliberately staggering it which maybe helps with scalping? Or maybe the PS store is just on fire. Who knows.

Some of the Pro enhanced titles are now tagged as such in the PS Store. It’s not comprehensive yet, as some known titles like Gran Turismo 7 aren’t marked yet but they’ve demoed the update. So maybe it’s an indication that is ready to go.

Totally forgot about ordering a disc drive and not paying scalper money for one, found John Lewis had online stock so on its way for £100

I watched this a few days back and didn’t think much of it. Just watched it again on my TV (instead of an iPad), and the difference is really noticeable. There’s way more detail in the Pro version, it’s a really nice upgrade.

Is the Slim stand the same as the one for the Pro? It’s back in stock on direct at £24.99 but not sure if it fits the Pro

Set up, a few tests.
Elden Ring - RT on, Quality Mode, VRR, runs great 👍

Demon’s Souls - single pro mode, notable detail increase and runs nice and smooth. 👍

New World - no Pro patch but noticeably higher res in 4K mode. Think there is DRS involved because it never looked close to 4K on PS5. Still not a great looking game, but improved frame rate and detail to my eyes.

Do I now need a VRR enabled TV🤣 my 65″ curved 4K Samsung still looks good and is at least 8 years old now😱
