Think this deserves it’s own thread as the standout title from last night’s largely tepid State of Play.

Worth rewatching the trailer as there are lots of little references to PS titles as it looks to build on the PS5 launch title.

80 levels, 50 planets, 15 abilities. Sounds like they’ve gone all out on expanding on previous titles.

@Alex - responding to your point in the main thread. It’s probably one of the few PS titles I would pay £70 for day one. I tend to wait on most PS Studio titles until they come down a bit, but this is something I’d really enjoy I think. So happy to pay a premium and encourage PS to do more of it.

That said, price is not confirmed yet and it could be lower.

DrDamn yeah that’s fair, but I think it might be a stumbling block for a lot of people, depending on the price point it comes in at.

Yeah. They’re such great games but they’ve all been effectively pack in games for new hardware until now. I can see some people balking at it.

I am disappointed though. I’d hoped they’d go the flat screen + VR route. Can’t help still feel a little burned by Sony specifically on the VR front.

Brave it would be great if it (and Sony!) supported PSVR2. Though the previous VR title wasn’t just a game that supported VR, it was designed around it, and that’s what PSVR2 deserves.

Seems like PC support for PSVR2 is not far away, with indications of a cable accessory incoming.

Something which would be really interesting for PS5 Pro to support would be some sort of PSVR2 auto-VR for any game you want to try. That would make me consider a purchase.

DrDamn That would be nice but I can’t see it. I think they’ll put out the PC adapter thing and then quietly forget PSVR2 exists. I mean, more than they already have.

How much are you willing to pay for a Bloodborne outfit? 😊

Pre-orders go live today. Indications it may be similarly priced to Sackboy, so £60 for standard edition.

        £60 standard, £70 deluxe.

I think I can live without a Bloodborne skin.

Does indeed look excellent, really enjoyed the first one.

I polished off the new bits they added to Playroom last night so I’m ready!

DrDamn Yeah there’s no way I was finding any of that without a guide 😳 Thanks for the link!

Just got the speedrun trophy left to do now. How hard can it be?

Gordon I managed it, so how hard could it have been. I don’t actually remember what you have to do mind 🙂

DrDamn It’s just getting decent times in the 8 time trial levels.

Played through the first level at lunchtime and messed about in the home area for a bit. It’s just joyous. It looks fantastic, it sounds great and everything seems to interact with you in a joyful way. It’s a play whilst grinning game.

One special mention I noticed early on. The way they combine haptics and controller audio is really quite clever. Quite subtle and seamless but really adds to the experience.
