It’s funny how the way you remember a game plays and looks actually looks like the updated version. I could swear Dead Space on the PS3 looked like the new screens and videos there. 😂

I think it looks pretty good so far and from that stream, they appear to be taking it seriously and communicating with the fan base. Sound still freaked me out so it’s good to see they maintained that. Undecided about the whole voicing Isaac.

Just uploaded the launch trailer. Looking very good to me. I’m jumping in day one so I can nope out on day two 😉

I enjoyed the original Dead Space, although I don’t think it’s quite the underappreciated masterpiece some make out, so I’m quite keen to give it another playthrough. I actually never got around to The Calisto Protocol, which had some mixed reviews at release. Probably one to wait on the sale for.

Alex The first one is good, but Dead Space 2 is absolutely fantastic. I hope this one does well enough for them to remake that too.

Alex I think the thing with the first game was no one expected much out of a new sci-fi/horror game coming from EA of all places. So when it turned out to actually be good, it probably got a bit more hype than it really deserved.

DS2 on the other hand is just an almost perfect game, it does exactly what it sets out to do and does it brilliantly.

Yup. Thirwell seems to have upset some folks. Don’t know why, I saw his name and clicked away. I have to read enough academic pontification on a daily basis as it is these days.

Watched some videos of this and it does look like a really good remake, will wait though as it’s forcing me to pay through and finish The Calisto Protocol, which is running much better now on PC and is absolutely stunning to look at at times.

Just fired it up. Love it. Even in performance mode it’s gorgeous.

Looking first to seeing how long it takes to get the nopes.
