Deej After a few attempts that ended in an “oops” it just stuck on “working” for ages in the checkout. Gave up and clicked back in the browser and a confirmation email appeared a few seconds later with £4 credit card charge. Didn’t even see a completion page but it’s in my Steam account. Obvs being hammered.
Brave Most annoying thing is that it did let me get to the PayPal verification system once, but by the time I’d done it all it started farting sparks again. Now it’s locking me out for trying too many times. Good old valve
Brave OK. Now I’m stuck on your purchase page with the button just saying working. Scared to click back now but I reckon I have to
Gordon Brave What if I change my mind later and decide I want one? Or I need one for work and can’t find one? It’s the only logical course of action.
GassyHaggis Gordon Completely off topic but… Bluey! I aspire to be a dad like hers. I went 64gb but I’m in a similar camp. Did it just in case.
Gordon GassyHaggis I love Bluey, it’s genuinely one of my favourite TV shows ever. Also an excellent parenting manual - we routinely ask ourselves “what would Bandit do?”
Deej Agreed. Suspect we won’t get the chance to buy one at first so it will give a chance for some proper reviews before any real money needs dishing out.
JayFantana Certainly intrigued by this bit of kit, the specs and pricing is certainly working in its favour for me. I’m gonna wait til next year (not that you have a choice now). As I’ve got my PC a couple months ago and now absolutely drinking the Master Race cool aid, be nice to have a wee pocket rocket to ignore the world with too.
DrDamn The power comparisons are very interesting. Where you look at graphical power per pixel then this is comparable to XSX. Which is silly impressive. It starts raising all sorts of ideas. Set it up with a Windows install (dual boot?) and it becomes a GamePass machine too. That has to have both MS and Sony having a think.
