I spent a bit of time setting up my FFXIV UI/controls/macros etc so it all works well on Steam deck, just out of interest. It really does run and play extremely well. Then I accidentally started an entirely new character on one of the new EU servers. Oops.

So everyone who’s got one, which version did you get and if you were to buy one again which version would you buy?

DrDamn I got the 256GB version. Would probably go for the same again, but I think the 64GB would be fine too, you’re going to need to add extra storage either way (I got an extra 1TB card in a sale).

I’ve had mine a couple of months now and I’m still extremely happy with it. Has genuinely changed the way I buy and play games to some extent.

DrDamn I went for 64 and just used the biggest sd card I could get. They’ve worked magic with running games on sd cards so I haven’t had any issues.

I don’t miss the different screen either tbh as the one on the 64 is decent. Best gaming purchase I’ve made in years. It’s easy to tinker with and allows me to play games like Death stranding handheld alongside games I’d never see on console like early access phantom Abyss.

The queue is shortening a fair bit now that they’ve got the supply chain sorted. I reckon it’s probably now a couple of months wait. It’ll probably settle at about a month depending on how the Asia launch goes.

Had a quick nosey on a local buy/sell group and found one just up the road, he wanted almost eBay prices though so I said no and offered what I was happy to pay. He refused and I thought that was it, a couple of hours later he messaged me back accepting my offer, so I now have a 512gb version for pretty much RRP, he bought it from eBay for stupid money but only used it twice 😂😱
