my lastest obsession the lakes of the us. Started with lake mead (falling by about an inch a day) and the Hoover dam, and now it’s unnatural. I have a windows services that downloads lake data daily. And this is just crazy

its falling by over a foot a day. A day. Wtf. in the next month it’s likely that one of the biggest hydro plants in the us will not be able to generate power, and the effect of drinking water and agriculture is going to be bonkers. The avocados on toast are coming back to bite em.
