Very quick first impressions.
Itās bloody impressive. And the simagic software is the best Iāve seen in sim racing. There are presets for every racing game out there and from what I can see they are near perfect. I canāt fault the LMU one.
Although early on I did get T boned and forgot to reduce the maximum power in a collision. Itās actually ok now but initially I did think Iād sprained my wrist. I had actually significantly reduced the overall power in game but I donāt think that equates to crashes.
It was actually pretty weird. The virtual impact and the real one married so perfectly that I was momentarily shocked. I normally let go immediately but this time I was super focused on rejoining. Lesson learned and collision slider turned way down. 18nm is no joke.
Iāve got my pedals plugged in to the back of wheel base via USB and thereās space for 3 more USB attachments and a bunch more via rj45 which makes managing cables and ports sooo much easier.
The ring light around the wheel connector is super informative imo. It flashes the appropriate flag colour for example although itās heavily customisable. And sim hub probably takes it even further.
Feedback is ridiculously strong and ridiculously smooth and detailed. No notchiness at all. The wheel rims themselves are beautifully made too. Very solid. The gear paddles are surprisingly quiet too for something so responsive.
Itās been six months at least since I fired it up but in LMU I was a good 4 seconds at least faster round spa than I used to be, within 3 laps of firing it up. I was getting so much information through it all that I was very confident on brakes and far more consistent even than with the t818.
Pretty delighted with it tbh. Canāt wait for the weekend for good few solid hours with it.
