Got em bolted on and working. Iām still getting used to them and Iāve been swapping out various strengths of spring on the brake pedal itself ( I am actually settling on harder springs, but still like the movement I get before I put in maximum effort) but after an hour of that Iām getting more consistent and have taken a second off my Oulton Fosters time in the Porsche.
It feels VERY different though. Itāll take me a few sessions to get my consistency up again, although to be fair even my bad laps now with off-track penalties are within less than a second of my good ones. I just feel like thereās much more consistency to come out of these. Iām also feeling much more able to shove the brake bias down a fair chunk because, if I feel the back end come out, I can just lift up on the brakes the perfect amount rather than vaguely near. So I can, more often than not, just bring in the back end without unsettling everything. Alongside this, Iām a hell of a lot more confident on cold tyres.
What I didnāt expect, but after reading up a bit more this evening seems to be the consensus is that the hall effect clutch and throttle are REALLY bloody good. Not just for the price, just in the context of all the other pedal sets available. Iām getting much better drive out of certain corners where e.g. 100% throttle is just too much but 95 to 99% will do just fine.
Je suis quite pleased.
