GassyHaggis It really is mental. And Hock isn’t even that hard, Suzuka the other night was beyond mental.
Until the release of this car I genuinely didn’t appreciate how fast and brutal F1 is. Compared to the GT3s it’s just on another planet. I honestly suggest people try this car just to experience it. You are so unprepared for how much grip it has through the corners how much speed it can actually carry. And in VR it’s even more insane.
Also this is the first time I’ve had driver resolution problems in a sim. I’ve heard it talked about before in real life, that drivers have problems processing the information coming at them, but never experienced it. However at Suzuka through the esses I simply wasn’t able to think fast enough to control the car. My brain just couldn’t compute it in time. I’m a middle aged man sat in a deck-chair with an elaborate game controller bolted to it. Imagine actually being sat inside the car!
It has honestly given me such a new and profound respect for what real F1 drivers go through. For that it’s worth the $15 alone.
