I thought the end was ‘novel’. Regardless of the ending there would have been some grumbles. Only time I’ve seen it done well was the sopranos - but LOD made a good stab. It just completely deceived me. I thought I had a really good inkling as to who it would be. And I was very very very wrong.

Restarted the Now TV subscription for a month or so to catch up on some stuff.
Started on Mare of Easttown and ended up watching it all in a couple of nights. Definitely lives up to the hype and Kate Winslet is brilliant. She plays a brow beaten cop investigating the mysterious disappearance of a young girl while her own life falls apart. In many ways it’s quite straightforward, but it’s brilliantly made with a great cast, and every episode is full of twists and turns right up until the very end.

Just finished season one of Raised by Wolves and all I can say is… what the actual fuck?
I see it’s going to have a second season which I’m glad of because I have questions. But yeah, that started weird, got weirder in the middle, then finished weird.
Alex Just finished Lupin on Netflix, absolutely loved it.
Just started Lupin on Netflix - two of five episodes in. Agree with all the above. Very clever, fun and well done. Part 2 is also coming very soon.
Watch in the original French with subtitles rather than the default dubbed version Netflix tries to make you watch.
Revisiting The IT Crowd which is available on Netflix and 4OD. I’d forgotten how funny the episodes are. Worth a watch if you haven’t seen it before.
Graham Linehan is a lot like Bruce Willis for me…Stay with me.
Black Books, Father Ted, IT Crowd are all thanks to him.
Now, a few years ago talking films in the pub, I was rattling of some favourites. Pulp Fiction, Twelve Monkeys, Fifth Element, Die Hard etc. Someone pointed out Mr Willis is in every one.

It’s just sad that Linehan felt the need to destroy his career and marriage through his hatred of trans people.
Series 2 Missions starting this Wed 22:00. Vaguely remember series 1 (will be to watch again on IPlayer),
We’ve just finished ‘The Watch’.
Oh dear god. What a stinking pile of shittte. Even if I hadn’t read the Pratchett books I would have been left with several questions and probably a lingering feeling that the program wasn’t particularly good, but unfortunately for the tv program I have read the books
“A Cure For Wellness” is a good mystery/horror film.
Survivors.
The original 1970s version. Cuts a bit sharp TBH - still a little raw.

Didn’t get series 2 at all. It all went, well, ‘a little french’. Slightly disappointing after a really good first season.
We’ll see what happens in series 3
War of the worlds with Gabriel Byrne, it’s part French part English. It’s brutal from the start but then takes a little too long I think to get going. Just got season 2 onboard so looking forward to that over the next few days.
