You go down in that?
You go down in that?
Negative, that’s a Remotely Operated Vehicle
Aye there’s plenty of squeeze at 1400m below
Some wildlife shots
Weird lobster thing
Long nose Chimaera, apparently it’s closest relation is a shark…
Jogort Pipe looks good too!
So who in your company IDs all the these bizarre creatures? Or is it just anyone Googling?
Google lens came up with “Weird lobster ’hing”? I may come to like our new AI overlords after all.
Haha didn’t try it on the weird lobster, worked on the long nose fish though.
@Jogort Do you do this?
Also, Jupiter and Saturn (with rings clearly visible) are appearing in night sky (in Northern Hemisphere anyway), close to each other.
Gammerz not me personally, all my current work is pipelay but lots of guys I work with have worked for cable lay companies.
Been watching the skies over here in China and seeing very bright Venus, Jupiter and Saturn but don’t have a scope with me to see them any closer.
I did manage some faint milkyway shots the other night though.
You can see Jupiter and Saturn in these shots, not bad with my phone on a bobbing ship
Is that Jupiter below Saturn?
It is indeed
Just checking; in UK they’re horizontally aligned with Jupiter in the West. This shows how being in different places on Earth changes our perspective. Never really had a chance to compare before, but I guess it’s obvious! I’ll see if I can take a picture to show you!
So my current job has had me in the Pacific Ocean 1000 miles and more from anywhere and this is what we’ve been doing. Time to get off tomorrow and start the journey home from West Mexico.
