Bear in mind that these are the sizes of the super-massive black holes at the centre of galaxies, not the size if the galaxies themselves (considerably larger).

I expect everyones social media is full of green n pink but thought I’d add a couple of my photos from last night on here, what a stunning show to witness last night, definitely a once in a lifetime even. The sky was absolutely covered, and my lens at 24mm couldn’t get it all in 🤣
I made a couple of short timelapses also and will post them in a bit. Gonna have a look n see how the drone pics came out also.
Tonight is looking possibly even stronger with some aurora apps advising of a G5 level event which is unheard of but looks like east coast is gonna be cloudy tonight….fingers crossed
