First race was superb. Second is looking to be brilliant too 🙂
Vandoorne is racing with a G29! We can no longer use the wheel as an excuse for not being quick. 🤣
I see @Brave ’s got in early with a PS5 shaped TV stand.
That is a ps5. It’s that big. @Jonbwfc
🙂
Been running a few laps of Indy 2014 in the pm-18 in rFactor 2, the track/car they were using today. It’s quite a hard and it’s especially hard to know where to go in the maze of roads. I managed to get within 3 secs of the times they were doing of 1 min 19 secs. Although there is so much time on the board as there are several corners I have no idea where to brake for. Actually really liking the rFactor 2 physics, even though it’d still a bit flighty at the rear, that age-old hallmark of all ISI (do they even exist anymore?) games. If I can get into any way consistent times I might post a video.
Lando’s stream was golden last night, waiting for the start he decides to call a bunch of people on his phone, including Verstappen, Sainz, Russell, Albon, McLaren boss Zak Brown, and others
🤣
I got RF2 and F1 2019 on steam. Both pretty cheap. Think it cost me 30 something quid for the two. I’ll probably fire up RF2 tomorrow and spend the afternoon on it.
I had a good go on F1 2019 last night and really liked it (albeit on I’m a numpty settings), so will grab the PC version through Humble Choice (as there’s a few other bits I want too).
I’m just catching up on this from last night. Just ffw to about an hour in. They had tech issues with Jimmy Broadbent and Lando Norris until then. Johnny Herbert is in it!
That is WELL worth watching. Most entertaining race of the lot so far.
Inspired by Broadbent I had a go in the Honda Civics at Toban Short. Wow, such great fun, a really great touring car experience, and the AI is actually quite good.
Edit: I totally mess up the start and use a guy as a brake at one point. 😂
Alex I’ve downloaded that combo now. 😉
What AI strength are you at?
Another big one. Kunos getting involved this time.
Final just about to start.
I’ll be hanging about in the Discord racing channel 🙂

That was fun. Not as entertaining as the shorter rfactor 2 races but still, it was a real pleasure listening to a man like John Watson ( who was a contemporary of James Hunt and won a handful of F1 races from the early 70s to early 80s ) co-commentate and clearly have his eyes opened to the world of sim racing.
Lovely stuff.
On a similar note 10 MotoGP riders had a virtual race on PS4 MotoGP 20 this afternoon. Was actually quite entertaining to watch and possibly more races to happen in the future.
I missed the Redline Race tonight, but apparently Jensen Button made a surprise sim racing debut.

Have to say, this is one of the most professional races I’ve seen. Really solid, no disconnects, very little lag. A good ad for iRacing as one of the best proper esport sims. Also seems that even lovable edgelords like Norris are taking it seriously, which definitely can’t often be said.
Missed that one. Will give it a watch today. 🙂
Saturday 5pm GMT. I’m assuming Dario Franchitti (who used to live about 5 mins walk from my house ) is in it this time 🙂
100% I think.
