Gordon I think MS is going to switch to more an XBox OS which will also run on PC and other manufacturer hardware (i.e. Lenovo, ASUS etc). If they do produce actual consoles it will follow more of a Surface model - high end examples of XBox OS devices which aren’t expected to sell big numbers. With devices covering handheld and premium console spaces.
Depending on how successful that is I can see Sony treating them like PC in terms of support. I.e. day one for live service / online titles and 12 month+ exclusive delays on bigger titles.
Not quite sure how Sony will work Switch 2 into the equation. Lego Horizon went there but future titles will likely depend on demographic suitability and whether Sony produce a full handheld of sorts themselves.
