I gave it a quick go. It feels quite clunky. I’m just about getting the muscle memory required after a couple of hours but having played it I think Rachel will hate it due to the controls. I can’t blame her if she does, it’s just not intuitive. Which is a pain because I got it for the sofa co-op. 🙁
It’s hard to argue that it’s a PC centric UI or anything but it’s still a little bit frustrating in a not-really-thought-through-on-console way.
Things like R1+square triggers a special, but R1+X swaps characters, /and then/ r1+ twiddle the right stick opens a radial menu which itself has weird inconsistencies.
I feel like I’m just scraping through without really doing anything on purpose.
I’m finding this to be a frustrating trend in “PC first” game design right now. At least the text font size is changeable
