It really is incredible.
Earlier this week, I packed up my PC and went to visit my dad so he could have a go. I mentioned in another thread that he was in the RAF (navigator, primarily Shackletons and Canberras, he left in 1971) so he was keen to give it a try. He flew a couple of trips around Prestwick airport (they live right next door to it) and loved it. I suggested that we should get him set up with a copy and a flight stick and then fly around the world together.
By the time I got home that evening, he had downloaded the flight manual for the Citation CJ4 (which we had decided to use for the trip) and worked out a 15 stop itinerary starting at Prestwick, going all around the world and back to Prestwick again with distances and estimated flight times based on the specs from the manual. I checked them in-game and they were all pretty much spot on. Not bad for someone who retired from the RAF nearly 50 years ago 🙂
