So gave the new version a go today.
Plus points - it’s on GamePass, it’s much smaller and space friendly & the interface is now much better designed around a controller. \o/
The negative - it appears very, very, very under baked. Lots of issues at launch - which I purposely avoided - it still takes several minutes from launching the game to get to the main menu and then needs more time to load when you choose an activity. I tried the tutorial and couldn’t actually complete the first one in which you don’t go anywhere. At one point it tells you to press RB + LS to activate cursor mode, then select something from the menu bar at the top. But no cursor appears, it’s invisible, and you have to try and select stuff with it. I gave up at that point. I’ll come back to it after a few patches.
