Spotted this, this morning and am quite intrigued. It looks utterly fugly, but it’s thrustmaster and Jim Hargreaves (who I have a fair bit of time for) seems to think it’s comfortable and actually well made.
i currently use a Nacon Revolution Pro 2 and have found it to be genuinely worth the outlay. I’ve been using it for a long time now, and my only gripe is a squeaky dpad, but that’s after literally several hundreds of hours in all the Souls games plus Bloodborne which all require heavy and rapid use of the dpad to quickly cycle through inventory.
That aside, I use it quite a lot, and just find it very comfortable, very useful and highly customisable. I do like this idea of swappable modules though, because I prefer the DualShock thumbstick layout as opposed to the Xbox layout.
It’s actually the rear buttons I find really handy. Being able to assign a frequently used button to one of these and therefore negate the need to take my thumb off a stick is way handier than you might imagine.
Anyway, anyone else dabbled with these things? I wouldn’t say it’s a great time to release an expensive new controller given that we have a new gen just 15 months or so away, but I have to say I do actually see the worth of these things from a comfort and ease of use standpoint now.
