This looks like it’s perfect for us - not that we’re short of kit to play on mind you.
Not a big phone gamer myself beyond Words with Friends but Fraser obviously is. The fact that the games are free of any micro-transactions etc. can’t be underestimated
from my point of view.
To be honest I find it obscene how much money could have been spent if I hadn’t had the strictest of parental controls enabled. He loves a game called Tank Stars and on the title screen every single time it tries to badger you into a ‘VIP’ monthly subscription for extra ‘stuff’. Awful. We had already paid to remove the adverts too. Ironically it’s actually a good little game.
Being able to use PS/Xbox controllers on the Apple TV is also a bonus. Played What The Golf, Cricket Through The Ages, Mini Motorways and Assemble. All more than decent quality games.
I’m buying less games yet have access to far more than I could ever play and I do wonder how the economics will add up but we shall see.
