Thank fuck. The sun’s gone over the other side of my house.

I finally heard one distant rumble of thunder about fifteen minutes ago but nothing else yet.
That was probably over my way. We had a decent rumble for about half an hour around then. By my reckoning around 20 miles away from me.
You can see it here: https://www.netweather.tv/live-weather/lightning
Yeah, I’m just to the left of that light blue splodge below Glasgow.
Rubbish, nothing up by me at all, love a good storm
Absolutely huge thunderstorm here. First time I’ve ever really been feart of it. Just saw a strike 50 yards in front of me.

That’s a live strike map. What’s brilliant about is it sends out an expanding circle after a strike. When that circle reaches me, I hear the thunder at exactly that moment. It’s really amazing.
This is the strike map for Europe for the last 48 hours. The entire continent should be shorted out by now!

I know I’ve had thunder at least a couple of times a week since I first posted. I honestly can’t remember a summer like this since I was a wean.
That’s a ton of strikes hitting Edinburgh at the same time. When the circles reached us. There was an almighty rumble
That’s very cool tech 🌩️
DrDamn It’s just kicked off again if you want to see it in action 🙂
And here we go again.

Mad amounts of lightning this year.
