Jonbwfc you would not credit how many different marketing twats I’ve talked out of “just using a Moby track, here I have a CD just rip it from this”. At one time at least, the single most litigious musical artist in the world.
I have a particularly dim view of that branch of the creative industries. and I’m saying that knowing that most people have a somewhat dim view of it. I’d say 5% of the ones I dealt with were good, respectful people, who understood their job and what went into the vast majority of the work that they didn’t have a hand in.
95% were wide-boy assholes, who take the credit for the work of actual grafters who put in all-nighters to meet their insane “yeah we can do it by then” deadlines, and have found what they correctly assess to be a very easy time of it indeed.
