It’s a real shame because it otherwise sounds like it’s actually quite good in terms of the open systems in it. Lots of different solutions etc.
It’s actually always been one of the problems I’ve had with ubisoft games. Character wise they very rarely after anything other than seemingly awful amateur human beings who I just would never identify with.
The story is rarely gripping of you don’t care about the fate of the protagonist or their one note entourage.
The recent stories coming out of there actually clear up why that would be for me. If all the leads are toxic sociopaths then they’re reflected in the characters they build in to their games.
