Relatively quiet update for me, although I’ve had Roboquest on my steam wish list for a while, so I might give it a go. I’m a sucker for a good little roguelite shooter.

Hidden gem for puzzle lovers. The Pedestrian. Nice little self contained puzzles in well defined boundaries. Consistently introduces new elements without over using them. With some really clever bits along the way. The way the puzzles are built into and linked to the environment is very good. Recommended.

Guardians of the galaxy is a huge get for GP. Really really recommend giving it a go, it’s not at all like Avengers. It’s proper comic book fan service. I also feel a bit burned tbh. I’ll think twice about buying a Squenix game on launch now.

Edit: I’m very curious about FAR Changing Tides, but need to play the original game first.

GotG was recently in the news for failing to meet expectations, so turning up on a subs service was a likely next step.

It’s had great word of mouth though and any failures seem to have been more to do with marketing than the game itself.

Yeah I’m keen to try GotG, big fan of Edios Montreal as a studio.

DrDamn yeah that’s the same thing that happened to hitman.

The reviews were hugely positive. I think it suffered in sales because squenix lost a boatload of trust over the Avengers. And to be fair, the actual story part of that was good.

GotG is still better in every respect though. It genuinely deserved the praise it got.

Other than Shredders, Weird West was going to be a launch day buy for me so if this is accurate I’m very pleased. Raphael Colantonio is the lead on it, so I’m all over that one.

I’ll give Shredders and The Dungeon Of Naheulbeuk a try. The latter I’d considered a couple of times as it’s my sort of game. The characters and humour are based on a French comic book which I had reservations about but GP delivers again.

Lost in Random I vaguely remember looking interesting, otherwise a bit meh for me.
