Brave The setting isn’t really my thing at all but the combat is fun and interesting, so definitely keen to give it a proper try.

Mortal Shell \o/

I loved Mortal Shell, but I think some people expected it to be near-identical to Dark Souls. I certainly saw what I felt were some unreasonable criticisms of it after it launched. Whereas I expected it be mediocre at best and came away very impressed. It’s obviously of that ilk, but there are some key differences. Basically, go in with an open mind and you might enjoy it.

This one went by quietly for whatever reason. Possibly because Halo stole the show entirely.

This one’s better than just Halo though. I just tried Generation Zero, (I’ll make a separate post) and actually really liked it. It has great coop potential for sure. Edit: oddly, I can’t see it anywhere in the marketing, but it’s been added. It’s the avalanche one that sets you in 80s Sweden, finding yourself battling a mysterious robot invasion. Up to 4 players.

ANVIL is the other one. I’ve had my eye on this for a few weeks. It’s early access but from what I’ve read, think Destiny if it was a coop Diablo-like. I’m downloading just now. Complete surprise that it’s on GP, I was going to buy into early access anyway.

The Gunk is from Steamworld people so it’s a definite play from me. Among Us just seems like it’s very, very late to consoles.

They also re-confirmed Sniper Elite 5 and Trek to Yomi were day one GamePass games. Announced at TGA?

DrDamn Really curious about The Gunk. The Steamworld guys have yet to make a bad (or even less than good to great) game, but it’s a huge departure from their previous stuff.

This may just be me in a bad mood, probably stubbed my toe on the same spiky thing you did when I made the mistake of praising Rider’s Republic =P ; but I’m deathly ambivalent about it having given it an hour.

I literally just killed my character for sport an hour in as it was getting too tedious to bear anymore. It’s Vacuum Cleaner Simulator with a slightly weird camera, imprecise platforming and a permanently maudlin soundtrack which has been slowly playing the violin without much variation for the entire time.

I had to stop because my life force has entirely drained away. Donlan loves it though, so it’s likely me in a strop.

Fire watch is genuinely great. Pity the dev got swallowed by Valve (IIRC) and was never seen again.

Also Gorogoa is available today. It’s hands down one of the few games that’s stuck with me ever since I played it. Both myself and Rachel love that game and have been entirely unsuccessful in finding another puzzle game like it. If you enjoy visually head wrecking puzzlers then it should be on your list.

Also Anacrusis is out via game pass game preview this month. It’s initial reveal let me underwhelmed but I’m still curious as the developer has previous.

Finished this today. Agree with all the above. Very special puzzle game, unique and demonstrative of what the video game medium can do with puzzles that makes them stand out.
