I honestly had to check if it was a erroneously late posted April fool’s gaga when I saw the article. There’s those ‘VR 360 degree treadmills’ you can get that seem like a good idea (if insanely expensive) but this doesn’t seem sensible. OK, you can abstract real world motions into VR a bit - so using move controllers to grab for example - but I don’t see what action these are going to allow you to bring into VR that’s even vaguely like the natural motion itself. Pedalo Simulator?

Jonbwfc I just think it’s potentially a decent solution to not having a thumbstick on the move controllers tbh. I mean, clearly it’s going to look daft, but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt. 🙂

DrDamn check the stock levels on that page… Move controllers are apparently like rocking horse poo and thus the prices to actually get any are extreme. They’re 130 quid a pair on Amazon too. The rumour is Sony spun down the manufacturing capacity some time a while ago and was somewhat surprised that people who got PSVR might want them. There just aren’t any in the shops. Boggles me a bit, you’d imagine they’d have managed to get stock rolling by now, it’s been like this for months.

And on the ‘put an analogue stick on it’ line - there was a companion controller without the glowy orb that does have a stick on it. Sony seem to have completely forgotten that ever existed.

Ah OK. That’s just what prices have been pushed up to by lack of stock. I clearly should have price gouged @Kafkaesque when I sold him my spares. 😉

Alex Twin pack is two controllers, but stock levels mean Amazon fulfilment is via “other” sellers who have hiked prices up to take advantage. RRP for a twin pack (i.e. two Move controllers) is £70.
