I’m really enjoying this. It’s always felt just a bit threadbare in the past when I’ve returned, but I think I’ve been away long enough and they’ve added enough different stuff now that it actually feels like a complete game finally. It’s a nicely guided experience too if you want it to be. Still really impressed with the new visuals.

A new expedition has just started and runs for the next 6 weeks. You start it on a new save and once finished you can access the rewards from your main save (it says here.)

I’ve been waiting for that to start. Sounds like a good time to palate cleanse from Elden Ring. Maybe they’ll nerf that final boss in the mean time. 🤞

Managed to get started and get into phase 2 of the expedition. Very impressed with the upgrades so far.

BTW if you’re doing the expedition step where you have to crush a larval grub or similar. Make sure you have at least 3 empty spots in your inventory and I think you need to be on foot on a planet as well. Otherwise you might need to find another grub.

Yeah. I’m really chuffed with this one.

I’ve been saying for years now that the marine biome needed to be expanded. I really wanted to feel like I was exploring the deep. Him saying there are now trenches several kilometres deep that get darker the further down you go was music to my ears.

I’m going back in to reopen my Moray Firth Marine Research Institute 😉
