Brave The biggest earners in the game are stasis chambers or…I think they’re called fusion igniters, which look like canisters with butterfly wings. Both earn between 10 and 15 million a pop, depending on local economy. But both of those require you to have mining and farming up and running - half the component ingredients are plants and half are minerals, plus some are most easily obtained from frigate missions, so it’s quite nicely balanced for end game 😃.

I think you’re more likely to get a decent idea checking the NMS Reddit or similar.

Gammerz as far as I remember the waypoints are grey on that screen until you find them.

Jogort It says: “3 discovered”. Discovered = found? This is my point! Similarly with the Flora.

IIRC, in this case ‘discovered’ means used as a save point. When you see the things at bases etc that are a bit like mobile phone towers. you have to use them to save and that records the discovery of the area. But I think you only get cash or nanites if you’re the first person to have used that a particular save point.

Most planets have quite a lot of them. But you can at least use the plane scanner to find them sometimes.

Jonbwfc Thanks. I’ve found a save point or two but they’re still showing as blanks.

Also found that there’s crafting designs that cannot be built unless they have a spanner/screwdriver icon, which apparently is the blueprint indicator, whereas others are blanks. This is very confusing and not explained on the tutorial planet.

Gammerz The blueprint thing is a bit messed up tbh. In the beginning, effectively the only place you could get blueprints was from the people you hired to work in your base (not entirely, but that was the gist). You even had a vendor in your base to sell you base bit blueprints, who just kind of showed up uninvited.

Then they brought the Nexus in, and suddenly you had a machine where you could buy blueprints by paying with stuff you dig up. But they kind of never removed the quest lines from the base specialists that got you those blueprints from before. So the Scientist dude will be like ‘Aha, do this thing for me and I will give you the blueprint for an oxygen condenser!’ and you’re like ‘bought one of those about three weeks ago mate’.

Plus there are things (e.g. glass) which you can still get a blueprint for but you don’t actually need at all, you can just make it, and there are two recipes that make it anyway!

It’s all rather inconsistent and odd, because they never went back and tidied stuff up. I suspect mainly because if they did you’d have pretty much zero reason to talk to the specialists you recruit…

Right. Who’s up for derelicts. I can afford to buy a few coordinates. Probably worth trying to do as many as possible during the Halloween event. I need that flesh helmet 🤔

The Picard gif thread on it’s own is hilarious. Can do some derelicts, have got a couple of bolt caster S upgrades but don’t expect me to hit much 😃

Brave OK so this came out…

As far as I can see though, there doesn’t seem to be anything new involved, maybe a slightly higher density of fauna and flora? Nor a date attached to it apparently.

              It looks feckin lovely though.

              More details in the tweet.

Brill. Might be available tonight or tomorrow 🙂

I may even go on for a bit this afternoon.

Brave I have a regular gaming thing on Wednesdays, so it will have to be tomorrow for me. IIRC the derelicts stay in the same place in a system and reset every 24 hours, so as long as you have a scanner you can find them and do them again (the icon might even stay visible so you can just fly to them, not sure).
