Merry Xmas when it comes folks!
The kids have all grown up and left the coop… It’s just me and the wife and do whatever, whenever we want! Merry Christmas from the US!
Merry Christmas everybody. Hope you all have a great time.

Merry Christmas everyone!
Watched Die Hard with the ‘not so little one’ last night which may become a family tradition now.
Hope you all have a great day
Decent haul today.
Kiddo got me a cool ring because her Dad is cool enough to wear lots of rings. Mrs Brave got me a Seestar S50 smart telescope so I can get nerdy about astrophotography like @Jogort but with far less effort .
Also got some nice books including Terry Pratchett’s Lost Stories which he originally wrote under a pseudonym and were only discovered in the years since his death.
Mrs Brave got a PlayStation Portal from me so she can get more game time in even when I’m hogging the big screen.
The kid? Well the kid is going to spend EIGHT HOURS in a tattoo shop on the 28th courtesy of us. I’m not sure I could handle that tbh… but the kiddo constantly surprises me.
I got a new strap, lead and picks to go with my new bass guitar which has been sitting in customs somewhere in Germany for a week now with no signs of it getting any further.

Brave oooo I’ve been tempted a few times by the seestar or dwarf astro cams. I’ve seen a lot of brilliant pictures with them. Great bits of kit for the size, obviously some limitations to them but if you look on astrobin and filter seestar you’ll see some amazing stuff. I think they can do their own internal stacking of multi images but most do it in siril or deepskystacker or pixinsight (pixinsight is expensive).
I’m sure you’ll get some amazing shots but everytime anyone buys astro gear somehow the clouds roll in
Hope everyone had a good Christmas. I got a lovely Damascus steel Japanese kitchen knife, that thing is insanely sharp.

Jogort I’d also highly recommend these tools for processing, most use them but yet again more money. They do have a 1 month free trial on each though. Some are for Pixinsight and some for Photoshop
