Aside from the game being lovely, Iām actually just enjoying using a switch again. I had an OG switch, which from the start had issues with dropping connection to the joycons if it wasnāt attached, so I generally just used it as a handheld exclusively.
My wife destroyed it a few weeks back in a frenzy of tidying, so I received an OLED as guilt infused present š
No connection issues anymore, and itās just a pleasure being able to drop it into the dock until the tv is in demand, then pick it up and carry on playing. Even this many years on, it feels like such a fresh and innovative idea.
Not to mention how damn light it is compared the deck. And the sheer pleasure of using split joycons in TV mode, hands by your side if you want, pure lazy man gaming.
Clearly not perfect mind, and desperately in need of newer more powerful hardware, but Iād take a slight ergonomic tweak and a beefy upgrade to the chipset. The experience in the hands is top notch.
