Gordon yeah I can understand that. I’m going to stick with it. I know in my case it’s just muscle memory really. I’ve had fun taking down the two big beasts I’ve fought so far and by the end of the last fight I was just starting to gr0k the box system and was enjoying putting down springboards in tactical spots to help with the fight.
I’m getting the death standing reference now. There’s a neat little diy transport system which is fun too.
There seems to be a tendency in Japanese game design right now, to drop a massive amount of information on the player right at the start. Nioh is the same, and it keeps piling it on. It’s definitely off putting.
But at the same time, I think the curve is just slightly starting to level out after about 3 hours of play. I don’t doubt they’ll keep adding mechanics but I was just beginning to feel like I wasn’t quite so frantically playing catch-up.
Definitely one where you’re better to pick s weapon and stick with it s as early as you can. There’s a lot to the combat too.
I wish it worked well on deck, as it would be a no brainer for me then. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to perform too well as of yet.
