Thought it might be nice to have a heads up for decent bundles.

I’ve just caved on the British comic bundle which has a metric fuck-ton of Judge Dredd.

They’ve changed the way they do the charity donations but you can still get the sliders if you choose custom and it’s still possible to give more to the charities than to Humble themselves.

Confession: as a teenager I had a paper round (in the highlands that meant having legs like tree trunks by the end of it, bloody hills everywhere). The final delivery, just 6 doors down from my house, was to a bloke in his late 30s I’d say and it was always the latest Judge Dredd comic. Except he rarely got his on time.

I would sail past his house on my bike, meticulously read it, with those lint free gloves for crafting on, and then walk backs to his door and post it through. I’ve loved those comics ever since. Totally influenced me growing up. And that bloke totally knew.

Whenever I saw him he’d have a knowing smirk on his face. I actually think he approved. That bloke was a legend.

Also, and this is one of the nerdiest things anyone I know has ever done. My best mate at school was a huge Dredd nerd. He also became a lawyer. There came a time when he needed to have a wax seal made with a Latin motto etc. I think it was to do with being a notary of the public or something.

Anyway. His motto translated from Latin as “I am the law” and it surrounded Dredd’s helmet. He is, as far as I’m concerned, the only cool lawyer in existence.
