Funnily I finished season 1 of Interview with the Vampire the other day. I thought it was very well made but I struggled to get on with the characters, I didn’t find them that likeable or compelling. That improves a bit when Claudia comes on the scene later on but overall I thought it was a 7/10 show. I think the second season, which is coming to iPlayer soon, is meant to be better.
Currently working my way through The Boys on Amazon, which I must admit I slept on for a long time, mainly due to superhero fatigue, but I wish I hadn’t as it’s properly brilliant. In fact it’s the perfect antidote for someone sick of superheros as it’s very much a satire of the whole superhero concept and how it’s all tied to American exceptionalism. It’s also very funny and unlike Interview its anti-heroes are still likeable.
