Like everyone else been watching The Traitors on BBC1 this week. I didn’t start until the weekend but then I watched about four episodes in one go. It’s basically Werewolf/Among Us scaled up to real life and it shouldn’t really be surprising how well it works.
It’s a bit like old school reality TV from the early days, as it has a broad spectrum of contestants and there’s no wannabe celebs or influencers. Although there are a lot of stupid made up middle class job titles, like magician and cheerleader coach.
It’s quite low stakes, the prize fund is about 80 grand, but what’s interesting is the clearly enormous psychological cost it’s taking on the contestants. Not being able to trust each other, constantly accusing the wrong people, forming close alliances with someone who is at that moment stabbing them in the back.
Anyway, finale tonight, no idea what’s going to happen.
