Hey folks.
Think we need a post to cover the fix for this.
There seems to be a bug in the Flarum software ( @Alex has the chops to explain this more clearly than I can tbh). For some reason, it just throws a mental and triggers a file download of nothing(?), or a database file or something. I don’t get it 🙂
Anyway. If you ever land on the site and this happens, then try clearing the cache, site settings and hosted app data (if that’s available to you, I couldn’t find it). You might have to try doing this a couple of times to get it to work.
What’s weird is that it happened to at least three of us at the same time this time. I’ve only ever seen it happen in single instances. But that might be to do with the frequency of people accessing the site at the same time. Which is itself quite rare.
The bug is a rare occurrence, but it’s happened to me a handful of times now so just know the fix. It seems like it might be related to chrome, which is why I had it on Edge and Chrome just now. Hopefully it’ll get fixed in an update soon.
