I think they need a complete redesign of the controllers and it would make sense to me to roll that out with new hardware.

Brave I think we’ll see DLSS here too. It’s the best option by far in the short to mid term. re: 720p, that res on that size of the screen is equivalent to Retina at about 15 inches away. It’s a non-issue IMO.
DrDamn 720p is fine for that size screen. I’d love to have seen a higher resolution on a larger screen personally - but financially I wouldn’t expect that to work all that well for Nintendo. It’s end up well outside the price range they’d be happy selling at so I understand the reasoning. 4K output when docked I would expect to be more for media than games, it’d be a waste of power for a lot of games. Better use of cheaper upscaling techniques to go higher than 1080p would be preferable.
Jonbwfc I think there’s a definite diminishing returns aspect to super high resolutions on small device screens. 720p is maybe the bottom edge of acceptable, but anything more than 1080p is probably just sacrificing system resources for non-visible ‘gain’.

Deej It’s turned into a Minecraft machine for the nipper these days so I don’t see any need for me for chase after it if it appears this year. Already bought 4 other consoles in the last 9 months! 😆 Other than the Joycon issues it’s been one of my best ever buys if it’s use is anything to go by.
